The Speight's Ale House Bar and Restaurant is situated in the heart of the historic Speight's Brewery.
The brewing heritage themed Ale House is a must to see for all visitors to Dunedin, featuring brewing and Dunedin memorabilia.
The Speight's Ale House is open 7 days for lunch and dinner from 11.30am.
Bookings and large groups accepted. Daily tours of Speight's Brewery are also available
The Speight’s Ale House has an extensive range of Southern fare, including steaks, blue cod, venison, pork, lamb shanks and seafood chowder, all offering value for money and generous portions.

SEAFOOD CHOWDER (G*)
Seafood bound in a beautiful fish stock, delicately flavoured with fresh herbs, served with bread.
BLUE 'N' GOLD
Southern Blue Cod, lightly fried in Speight's beer batter, served with fresh garden salad and fries.
BLACK CHERRY CHICKEN (G)
Tender chicken breast, pocketed with soft cheese and cashew nuts, wrapped in bacon and oven roasted. Laid on kumara mash with a black cherry sauce and garden salad.
SHEARER'S SHANKS (G*)
Tender and delicious, oven-roasted with Central Otago thyme and garlic, topped with Ale House gravy and mint glaze. Served on potato mash with a medley of vegetables or salad.
VEGETARIAN FILO PARCELS
Spinach, cream cheese, pine nuts and peppers wrapped in golden phyllo pastry topped with basil pesto, served on a bed of salad greens and crispy potatoes.
HIGHLAND LAMB (G)
Tender marinated Otago lamb, grilled medium rare, laid on fresh garden salad, topped with Caribbean citrus marmalade. Served with crispy potatoes.
CHOCOLATE MUD-CAKE
Rich, moist chocolate cake, served hot with a decadent chocolate sauce, ice-cream and cream.
